Consisted of two zamac heavy shields and two conical expanding nuts assembled by a spring ring, one cone nut is tapped internal thread, another is non-thread, used to anchor and fix the fixtures in the concrete, masonry, or light solid drywall substrate.
Concrete double expansion anchors are used to anchor and fix in concrete, brick or block foundation materials. A mechanical bolt is screwed into the conical nut of the anchor body to make the double expansion shield anchor contact with the concrete of the hole wall at two points. The conical nut goes up with the rotation of the bolt and expands two shields to produce expansion effect. Double head expansion allows for better load retention.
It is made of zamac alloy material, with rust proof, anti-corrosion, temperature resistant material characteristics, complete size specification can be supplied from 1/4 " to 3/4". During installation, the end with internal thread of double head expansion anchor is placed upward and flush with the base material plane. Double expansion is considered to be the best choice for use from the light to medium loads.
It is a kind of zinc alloy expansion anchor, which is suitable for various masonry base materials, such as brick, block or concrete. The use of them need to be used together with mechanical bolt to realize the function of expansion anchor.
First, a hole must be drilled in the concrete with a diameter equal to the outer diameter of the double anchor being installed. Each diameter of different specifications requires a different size of hole. The minimum depth of the hole must be equal to the length of the double anchor to ensure that the anchor is even or below the surface of the substrate. After drilling, gently tap with a hammer to put the double anchor into the hole for easy placement. Place the fixture on the anchor, then insert the mechanical bolt and rotate to expand the shield to complete the anchoring operation.
The double expansion anchor consists of four parts: two heavy shields, a hollow non threaded cone nut and a tapped cone nut with internal thread, which constitute a single anchorage device. The guard is connected by a pair of spring bands. Each is designed not to rotate during expansion.
Double expansion shield anchors are used in soft masonry with mechanical screws or bolts that are exposed to vibration or lateral pressure. When the double expansion anchorage is fixed, the opposite two ends pull each other, resulting in the elongation of the anchor body. Double expansion anchors will not break and allow tightening of any length. It can also be used for soft or loose foundation materials.
